Japanese massage (also known as Shiatsu massage) is about pressing with your fingers. During such a massage, the masseuse observes the patient’s reaction to pressure and draws conclusions which parts of the body are most painful. When a person feels pain, she begins to massage the affected area. It is a type of self-healing system that is triggered by the body’s internal reserves.

The main technique in this case is the emphasis on acupuncture points, that is on the basic energy channels. The creator of the technique, Shiatsu Nakimoshi recommended this massage to patients whose work is closely related to mental stress.
